I received my Masters of Social Work degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with a specialization in behavioral mental health and trauma informed care. I have spent time working with youth and adults with varying needs in settings such as group homes and in the community. I have also worked with adults in intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization programming in a hospital setting.
I have years of experience providing individual, couples, and family counseling, and mentoring using both Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). I also have experience facilitating social skill and mental health groups with youth and adults. I utilize a strength-based approach to bring out and utilize an individual’s inherent strengths to aide recovery and promote empowerment. I am licensed as a Certified Advanced Practice Social Worker (CAPSW) with the State of Wisconsin.
