I received my master’s degree in community counseling from Concordia University. I’ve spent time working for an in-home therapy program focused on behavioral modification in children under the age of 6 within Milwaukee County, individual therapy with children and adolescents, in-home therapy with children who have a diagnosis of Autism, consultation within schools related to behavioral IEPs, on inpatient units at a Milwaukee area hospital and most recently with adults in an intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization program.
I have years of experience providing individual, family and group counseling using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectic Behavior Therapy (DBT) and play therapy. I work closely with children, adolescents and young adults who are looking to gain emotion regulation skills, create more positive interpersonal relationships and learn how to manage stress. I work closely to incorporate family and school relationships into therapy when appropriate and work to help individuals learn emotion identification, how to express emotions and how to manage their emotions within life’s stressors. I am licensed as a Professional Counselor through the State of Wisconsin.
