What happened this year for you? Did you set goals for yourself or your marriage? Did you meet all of these goals? If not, what went wrong? What got in the way?
The new year is a time for reflection on the previous years accomplishments and areas for growth. It is also a time to set new goals for yourself. Perhaps that new goal will be something like, I will go to the gym and work out regularly, I will eat healthier, I will stop smoking, or I will do more to take care of me. Perhaps that goal should be addressing those issues from the past which still affect you today, or maybe the goal is to actually address your relationship struggles and learn to have a better marriage. I recently read an article which stated that by the time a couple enters counseling together, they have been thinking about the problem and recognizing that problems have been a part of their marriage or relationship for 4 YEARS! Imagine how much could be different in your life over the course of 4 years! We think about change and dream about change but when it comes time to committing to change, we find a reason or situation which comes up and takes away from that momentum. We then find ourselves another year older and another year removed from being a happier more satisfied you.
I know this sounds a little sales pitchy, and it is, but I’m ok with that! I am in the business of helping individuals and couples find themselves and find a new way of being a new you. I want to help you take that leap and begin to make the changes that you have dreamed about and go where you want to in life.
Don’t let another year pass you by. Don’t hope that your communication gets better with your spouse, don’t pray that the love that was there before suddenly comes back, don’t hope that your partner will wake up and realize what has been going on. Take the chance to make it better earlier, you will be happier for it in the long run! If you want to know ways to spice up your relationship check out my blog about it here. Let us work together find a way to make 2018 the start of the new way to the new you. Working together, we can find out how to create a new relationship with yourself and your spouse to have a happier more fulfilling relationship. Let me know how I can help in that journey, and lets help you move those mountains!
